Information about transferring beach hut ownership, annual charges, rates, parking permits, beach hut specification, and site licence conditions can be found on the Tendring District Council website.
Seafront and promenade maintenance
Tendring District Council is responsible for the promenade and seafront areas, paths, steps, taps and toilets. Call the seafront team on 01255 686664, e-mail seafronts@tendringdc.gov.uk or use the on-line report it form to tell the Council about maintenance issues.
Reporting Beach Hut crime
Unfortunately not everyone loves the beach huts as much as we do. The seafront and beach hut areas can attract criminal damage, graffiti and antisocial behaviour. Report non-emergency incidents to the police using 101 or the online form on the Essex Police website.

You will need to provide a postcode to report a crime. The seafront postcodes are:
Southcliff: CO14 8EJ
Eastcliff: Last Fisherman Café to the steps, CO14 8HA, from the steps along the promenade to
the Toilet block, CO14 8HB, from the Toilets to Hipkins Café CO14 8HY.
